The fishnet or fish scale pattern has been a typical motif of Herend since the 1800s. The Vieux Herend – Old Herend design is hand-painted by the painters of Herend. The original Herend design was painted with red and gold. This is a redesign in the 21st century, with red fishnet and platinum paint.
